The Illinois Leadership Inventory (ILI)

A self-assessment tool designed by the Illinois Leadership Center to help students better understand themselves and their leadership competencies.

At Illinois, we define leadership through 21 competencies across four levels of practice:

  • Personal/Self
  • Interpersonal/Team
  • Organization
  • Community/Society

The ILI is divided into four (4) modules based on the levels of practice.

click here to take the ILI

Each module will ask you a series of questions about the leadership competencies in that level of practice. It will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to complete each module. Upon completion of a module, you will be provided with suggestions and recommendations for mastering each competency.

The ILC Podcast Discussion Club

ILC podcast club icon

Do you enjoy podcasts?? Then this club is right for you!

In a flipped learning experience, participants will...

  • Listen to two (2) hours of podcast episodes on a theme (e.g Leadership and Vulnerability, Giving/Receiving Feedback, Productivity/Goals, Social Change) and then,
  • Meet for one (1) hour via Zoom to discuss with peers in a facilitated experience.

This learning format allows participants to consume the content materials at their own pace. Participants can stop and replay the episodes as many times as needed in order to improve thier understanding.

During the club's scheduled meeting sessions, participants will discuss key takeaways from the episodes, reflect on the theme, and identify how they can apply the content to their lives.

Each club will meet bi-weekly for a total of 4 sessions.

Dates and times of the discussion sessions will be determined at a later time once registration has concluded. If interested in joining the club, be sure to subscribe to the ILC email list to receive the announcement when you are able to sign up and join the podcast club!
