The Illinois Leadership® Center offers volunteer opportunities which allow individuals to engage in meaningful leadership experiences with students. If you are faculty, staff, university alum, community member or current student we can assist you in finding a volunteer opportunity to meet your needs. Volunteer opportunities include serving as a i-Program Facilitator or Leadership Certificate Coach. For more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact email@example.com
Facilitators are crucial to the success of our i-Programs (Insight, Intersect, Ignite, Imprint, Inclusion, and Integrity). In the role of facilitator you have the opportunity to assist in shaping the experience and environment of the programs. As a facilitator, you would be a lead or small group facilitator.
Lead Facilitators are responsible for training, introducing main concepts and objectives, and leading discussions among the large group of 60 to 200 participants.
Small Group Facilitators help build community and rapport among small group (eight to twelve) participants and help them find meaning in the program and ways to integrate the concepts into their daily lives.
LeaderShape Institute Cluster Facilitators work directly with a small group of ten to twelve participants (a Family Cluster) during the LeaderShape Institute to encourage authentic dialogue and enhance learning.

Leadership Certificate Coaches
The Leadership Certificate Program is a multi-semester program designed to provide students with experience and growth in leadership. It allows students to customize their leadership development through a series of leadership programs, academic courses, and group experiences.
Each participant is matched with a Leadership Coach who provides insight and advice throughout the program. Coaching a Certificate student generally takes between five to ten hours a semester or one to two hours a month. Coaches provide mentoring and support as the students implement an individual plan for their leadership growth.
