The National Association of Colleges and Employers Job Outlook 2015 survey highlights leadership and the ability to work in a team as the primary skills employers look for in a candidate. Additionally, in our global society, the skills necessary for effective leadership are more complex and multi-faceted now than they have ever been. From small to large organizations, we need successful leaders.
At the Illinois Leadership® Center we are helping to create those leaders. We:
Make a difference. Students who participate at the ILC are more likely to volunteer, study abroad, commit to research, and take on leadership positions than their peers.
Are educators. Students who attend our programs show greater gains in cognitive complexity and connecting across diversity than their peers.
Build leaders. 95% of students who attend our program say the experience helped them to become a better leader.
